This report from 2022 seeks to fill some of the knowledge gaps around identity, inclusion and independence in the lives of children and young people living with disability.
It has been written against the backdrop of the Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability – the culmination of more than a decade of inquiries into past and current system failures impacting people with disability.
The Royal Commission includes the need to address ongoing concerns regarding the capacity of the National Disability Insurance Scheme to deliver on the most basic support needs of children and young people with disability and those of their families.
