The Wattle Range Council used a grant of $5000 from the Commissioner for Children and Young People to undertake a youth led conversation about possible improvements for children and young people.
Wattle Range Council held a Family Fun Day at a Millicent park in order to consult with the local community about what they would like to see in the park. The Commissioner for Children and Young People, Helen Connolly, helped to fund the event and went along to speak to local children and young people.
Over 250 people came along and helped to inform the consultation, which called for a number of new features in the park, including a barbecue, hammocks, natural water elements and an in-ground trampoline.
It was a lovely sunny day, and the children enjoyed the water slides and bubble soccer.
